B. is Superdrug’s own brand and they have recently expanded the foundation shade range to be more brownbeauty friendly, which is fantastic. I got the opportunity to try the B. Flawless Complete Coverage Foundation in the shade 090, which I think is one of the darkest shades.

It’s too dark and too red toned for me, but I still tested it out. B. state that the foundation dramatically evens skin tone and conceals imperfections, while being easy to apply, blend and is built to last with 16 hour transfer resistant wear. It’s also said to hydrate the skin with the addition of hyaluronic acid, and protect with SPF15.

The foundation has a thick consistency, it comes in a pump bottle, but I received a sample that was not in the finished product packaging. I buffed this into my skin with a brush, it initially looks quite nice, but a couple hours later and the foundation had started to disappear. By the end of the day I would only have the most coverage left where I had applied under eye concealer. It does suggest on the website to apply with fingers for ‘perfect’ results, so maybe it would last better with this application method, but I doubt it.

It’s such a shame at £9.99 that this affordable foundation has not lived up to the claims, I’m not even expecting 16 hour wear, but I do expect to have foundation left on my face at the end of my working day.
