Describe the items in your makeup bag.

I carry a small makeup bag wherever I go. Work can be quite hectic and very spur of the moment. I like to have a variety when it comes to my makeup, but for the most part I carry the following items. I'm usually more of a light foundation wearer but lately (I'm blaming the weather and me just being so so tired) the NARS Luminous Weightless Foundationin Macao really covers all my imperfections. At times I can even forgo concealer. MAC Studio Fix Powder & Concealer is more of a staple in the summer but perfect for topping up my face in case I get caught in the rain. MAC Studio Select Cover Up Concealer is another staple of mine is this concealer and for some reason I'm not too fond of using it as a concealer but instead frame my eyebrows and cupid bow.

NYX Cosmetics really has some great gems amongst their collection, and I'm glad that some of their range is finally available in the UK. NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pommade - I only recently discovered the glory that are brow pommades and truly believe that they have completely transformed my makeup routine. It's always brows first now. The NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Abu Dhabiis the perfect nude for me, it's not heavy and almost weightless. I carry the NYX HD Concealerwith me in case I have to glam up, creating that under-eye halo effect.

Anne Marie Makeup Bag

I love the creamy consistency of Illamasqua Skin Base Lift in Deep 1 and it applies like a dream. It's quite heavy duty and compact and thankfully takes up minimal room in my makeup bag. I love how I rarely use makeup items for their actual purpose. I love the Milani Brow Fix in the brown and dark brown shade and it's my go to eyeshadow. I love a brown smokey eye and both shades are just the best.

I also carry a few tools in my makeup bag and I admit that I do have a bit of a Zoeva fetish. I mainly use the 102 Zoeva Silk Finish Brushfor applying liquid foundation or powder foundation. It's super soft and creates an almost airbrushed finish. Their 106 Powder Brush is perfect for applying blusher and bronzer. I find the 110 Face Shape Brush perfect for buffing in my foundation. Again, these brushes are so soft and perfect for delicate areas such as under your eyes. I usually use the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge to set any powder I might use on highlighted areas. I'm still a novice at using it to be honest. I think a few more YouTube tutorials are on the cards for me.

Which is your favourite item in your makeup bag?

I love illamasqua's Skin Base Lift Concealer. It's very compact and the quality of the concealer is superb.

Where did you get your makeup bag?

This makeup bag is from Primark for around £3. I'm loving the monochrome feel of it. I'm not really inclined to spend ££ on makeup bags. It's what's on the inside that counts.
