Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara

Too Faced have released a waterproof version of their iconic Better Than Sex Mascara – and I’ll say it now – I really like it. I’m not normally a fan of waterproof mascaras as I find them difficult to remove at the end of the day, and normally find the formula more drying on my lashes. However the Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara, is definitely quite the opposite.

The claims of this mascara are that with ‘one coat lashes are full, defined, and stretched to unbelievable lengths. Two coats and lashes look even more luscious, curled and dramatic. Three coats and you’ve achieved the most intense, voluminous, waterproof lashes possible. Whilst I’ll agree that this mascara is quite volumising and lengthening, I didn’t experience the most intense volume and lengthening of my lashes, however I really enjoyed the look I did achieve. It gave my lashes a very full effect, which did lengthen them and gave me a somewhat of a false lash effect – although nothing too dramatic.

As well as really enjoying the effects of the mascara, I think the packaging for this is one of the best I’ve seen in a mascara packaging. The tube itself is quite weighty, and almost feels like a metal packaging. On the tube there are also water droplets embossed all over the light green packaging, adding to the waterproof theme. The wand brush is an hourglass shape which is great for hugging the lashes and following the natural eye contours.

The mascara itselfis a ‘collagen-fuelled formula that thickens, lengthens and curls’ the lashes. I found it to be a thick formula, although it doesn’t clump on my lashes which is great. It also stays in place all day without drying and flaking, and is also very easy to remove with an oil based eye makeup remover. Overall I really enjoyed using this product and it may be my go to higher end mascara repurchases in the future.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara is priced at £19.00.
