Sheabutter Cottage is a British brand and online store that sells natural, organic skin and body care ingredients. The awarding brand stocks a wide range of exotic butters and oils from all over the world as well as natural soaps and natural hair products. The Hibiscus Oil is part of their oils collection.

This oil has many benefits that are great for your hair and skin. It’s highly moisturising and helps to encourage smoother looking skin as well as fading age spots. The oil is rich in anti-oxidants which helps prevent free radical damage.

For hair, the benefits are numerous -it  encourages growth, relives an itchy scalp and helps with conditioning. The Hibiscus Oil from Sheabutter Cottage is pure, cold pressed and unrefined, allowing it to retain most of its nutrients and hailed from West Africa. I mainly used it as a pre-poo treatment before shampooing and as the oil in the L.O.C method when moisturising and sealing my hair. 

This is a very light oil that was easily absorbed into my hair. I love it as a pre-poo as it softened my hair and prepped it for shampoo. I love that it comes with a pump which makes it easier to use. It’s a yellowish colour and I must say I didn’t find the scent too appetising. The oil for skin also sinks into the skin quickly and leaves it soft. I had never heard of Hibiscus Oil till now but I am very glad I have this one from SBC. It’s been a great addition to my collection.
